Arusberita.id – Perundingan Persetujuan Kemitraan Ekonomi Komprehensif Indonesia-Uni Eropa (IEU-CEPA) ditargetkan selesai pada masa pemerintahan Presiden Jokowi.
Menteri Perdagangan Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) menyatakan bahwa perundingan IEU-CEPA telah berlangsung selama delapan tahun dengan 18 putaran telah dilaksanakan. Putaran ke-19 direncanakan akan dilaksanakan pada awal bulan Juli di Indonesia.
Zulhas menambahkan bahwa progres penyelesaian perundingan sudah mencapai hampir 90%. Dia juga mengatakan bahwa tidak ada lagi perbedaan yang signifikan antara Indonesia dan Uni Eropa.
“Bisa, Insya Allah bisa (selesai di masa pemerintahan saat ini). Sedikit lagi,” kata Zulhas di Kompleks Istana Kepresidenan Jakarta, Selasa (25/6).
IEU-CEPA diharapkan dapat menjadi alat untuk memperluas aktivitas perdagangan antara Indonesia dan Uni Eropa, yang diharapkan dapat mendorong pertumbuhan Produk Domestik Bruto (PDB) kedua belah pihak.
Menurut studi yang dilakukan oleh Pusat Studi Strategis dan Internasional, IEU-CEPA berpotensi meningkatkan pertumbuhan PDB riil sebesar 0,10% dan meningkatkan dampak pendapatan negara sebesar US$ 2,8 miliar. Studi tersebut juga menunjukkan bahwa ekspor Indonesia ke UE diperkirakan akan meningkat sebesar 57,76%.
