Arusberita.id – Pemerintah telah melakukan persiapan pemenuhan kebutuhan pokok jelang Ramadan dan Lebaran tahun ini. Melalui rapat terbatas yang dipimpin Presiden Joko Widodo pada Kamis (18/1), diputuskan untuk mempercepat impor beras sebanyak 600.000 ton.
Impor beras tersebut merupakan carry over dari tahun 2023 yang sempat tertunda karena proses bongkar muat di pelabuhan. Percepatan pemasukan impor ini berkaitan dengan persiapan kebutuhan untuk program stabilisasi pasokan dan harga pangan (SPHP) jelang Ramadan dan Lebaran 2024.
Selain beras, pemerintah juga menyiapkan stok jagung pakan untuk menghadapi momentum ramadan dan lebaran tahun ini. Jagung pakan sendiri berkaitan dengan fluktuasi harga telur dan daging ayam.
Kepala Badan Pangan Nasional (NFA) Arief Prasetyo Adi mengatakan, berdasarkan kerangka sampel area yang dikeluarkan BPS pada Januari dan Februari, terdapat defisit persediaan beras nasional sekitar 2,8 juta ton. Defisit tersebut akibat dampak dari El Nino.
Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan beras tersebut, pemerintah akan melakukan impor sebanyak 2 juta ton. Impor beras tersebut akan didatangkan dari Vietnam, Thailand, dan China.
Arief menegaskan, pihaknya terus berupaya untuk menjaga harga di tingkat petani. Importasi beras yang dilaksanakan untuk memastikan stok CBP yang kuat, imbuhnya, akan beriringan dengan terjaganya harga di tingkat petani.
“Kami melaporkan bahwa akan follow up beberapa yang sudah dengan pak presiden yang dari China, Thailand dan vietnam. Tapi ada catatan masuknya kalau boleh sebelum panen raya sudah harus masuk,” ungkap Arief.
Dengan persiapan yang matang, pemerintah berharap dapat memastikan ketersediaan dan keterjangkauan harga beras dan jagung jelang Ramadan dan Lebaran 2024.
