Wakil Presiden (Wapres) Ma’ruf Amin menegaskan akan terus mengawal kinerja jajaran menteri yang tergabung dalam kabinetnya agar dapat bekerja seperti biasa tanpa adanya pengaruh terhadap dukungan terhadap salah satu pasangan calon presiden dan wakil presiden di pemilu 2024 mendatang.
“Saya tentu akan terus mengawal itu, mengawasi. Saya akan terus mendorong bekerja sebagaimana biasa,” ujar Wapres dalam keterangan pers di Athena, Yunani, Kamis (23/11).
Menurut Wapres, pemberian layanan kepada masyarakat tidak boleh menurun kualitasnya karena adanya kepentingan pemilihan umum. Sehingga tugas negara harus tetap diemban dengan baik dan optimal seperti biasanya.
“Jangan sampai tugas negara diabaikan. Pelayanan masyarakat tidak boleh kita berkurang walau kita hadapi pileg, pilpres, dan lain-lain,” tegas Ma’ruf.
Wapres berharap jajaran Menteri Kabinet Indonesia Maju dapat menaati aturan yang berlaku. Khususnya dapat mengambil posisi yang tepat dalam memaksimalkan kinerjanya sebagai menteri maupun di posisi yang lain saat memihak kepada salah satu calon presiden dan wakil presiden di masa pemilu 2024 yang akan datang.
“Kalau bisa memosisikan diri dengan tepat ya, kapan dia dukung calonnya, kapan dia bekerja, kan ada aturan-aturannya. Lalu, aturan itu ditepati,” pungkas Ma’ruf.
