Arusberita.id – Kapolda Sumatera Utara (Sumut), Irjen Pol Agung Setya Imam Effendi mengajak seluruh masyarakat untuk datang ke Tempat Pemungutan Suara (TPS) masing-masing.
Hal itu dikatakan saat memantau kembali kesiapan Pemilihan Umum (Pemilu) 2024 di Kabupaten Simalungun.
“Kita semua petugas keamanan sudah siap untuk menjamin pelaksanaan Pemilu yang aman dan damai,” sebutnya usai meninjau 2 TPS di Gedung Cadika, Nagori Dolok Merawan, Kabupaten Simalungun, pada Rabu (14/2/24).
Agung menuturkan, pihaknya mengapresiasi kepada semua pihak yang telah berupaya mewujudkan jalannya pemilu yang aman dan damai di Sumut.
Menyoal potensi-potensi kericuhan, dia mengklaim Sumut kondusif. “Tidak ada, belum ada sampai dengan saat ini,” ucap Kapolda.
Dikatakan, Polda Sumut akan terus melanjutkan pengawalan keamanan Pemilu sampai penghitungan suara nanti. “Kita akan terus berkoordinasi, karena faktor keamanan menjadi hal yang sangat penting,” pungkasnya.
Didampingi Penjabat (Pj) Gubernur Sumut, Hasanuddin dan Forum Koordinasi Pimpinan Daerah (Forkopimda) lainnya, Kapolda mengecek satu per satu kesiapan jajarannya di daerah, terutama dalam mengawal pendistribusian logistik Pemilu untuk sampai ke TPS.
Dia mengatakan, Kepulauan Nias menjadi salah satu lokasi yang berpotensi sulit dilalui pihaknya untuk pendistribusian logistik Pemilu ke kawasan itu. Namun ditegaskan, pengamanan tahap demi tahap akan dilaksanakan dengan tuntas dan baik.
“Kita akan tunggu sampai dengan penghitungan dan perekapan nantinya. Dan kita akan kawal nanti menuju ke Panitia Pemilihan Kecamatan (PPK) untuk direkap dan seterusnya,” kata Kapolda kepada wartawan.
Dalam tugas pengamanan Pemilu, diturunkan sebanyak 12.804 orang personel, yang disiagakan di setiap di wilayah hukum (wlikum) Polda Sumut.
Kapolda juga mengatakan, pihaknya juga menyiagakan pasukan cadangan untuk mengcover beberapa daerah yang tergolong sulit dijangkau seperti Nias Selatan (Nisel) atau Nias Induk.
