Arusberita.id – Pemerintah Indonesia dan Australia terus memperkuat rantai pasok di kawasan dengan memperkuat kolaborasi di berbagai bidang. Mencakup hilirisasi industri, digitalisasi, dan pendidikan.
Hal ini mengemuka saat Menko Perekonomian Airlangga Hartarto saat bertemu dengan Menteri Industri dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Australia Hon Ed Husic di kantor Kemenko Perekonomian Jakarta.
“Sebagai negara dengan cadangan mineral kritis yang melimpah, Indonesia dan Australia dapat berkolaborasi untuk memperkuat perannya dalam rantai pasok global kendaraan listrik dan teknologi ramah lingkungan lainnya,” katanya dalam keterangan resmi, Jakarta, Senin (4/3).
Pemerintah mencatat, kedua negara telah sepakat untuk memajukan kerja sama yang saling menguntungkan dalam bidang manufaktur baterai, pemrosesan mineral penting, dan aspek lain dari ekosistem kendaraan listrik melalui Nota Kesepahaman Kerja Sama Kendaraan Listrik, yang ditandatangani pada kunjungan Menteri Husic ke Jakarta pada November 2023 lalu.
Lebih lanjut, untuk mendukung target pengurangan emisi melalui Carbon Capture Storage (CCS), Pemerintah Indonesia juga mengapresiasi dan akan mengawal realisasi investasi perusahaan asal Australia yang rencananya akan memanfaatkan lapangan migas yang sudah depleted (kering) di Aceh sebagai solusi untuk menangkap dan menyimpan emisi CO2.
Menteri Husic pun menyambut positif prioritas Indonesia terkait dengan hilirisasi mineral kritis. Menurutnya, kedua negara memiliki visi yang sama untuk mendorong keberadaan energi bersih ke depan.
“Indonesia dan Australia memiliki semangat yang sama untuk menumbuhkan rantai pasok energi bersih yang kuat dan beragam, sekaligus membangun industri manufaktur baterai dan pengolahan mineral penting,” ungkap Husic
Di sisi lain, Airlangga mengapresiasi dan berterima kasih atas dukungan Australia dalam berbagai forum internasional. Antara lain keanggotaan Indonesia pada Financial Action Task Force (FATF), kemajuan signifikan proses aksesi Indonesia pada Organisasi Kerja Sama dan Pembangunan Ekonomi (OECD), serta perundingan Indo Pacific Economic Forum (IPEF).
“Saat ini, Indonesia tengah mengkaji potensi keanggotaan pada Perjanjian Komprehensif dan Progresif untuk Kemitraan Trans-Pasifik (CPTPP),” ujar Airlangga.
Pertemuan bilateral yang dilaksanakan di Park Hyatt Hotel Melbourne tersebut juga membahas perkembangan berbagai proyek kerja sama yang menjadi prioritas kedua negara.
Di sektor pendidikan, Australia kembali menunjukkan komitmen yang kuat dalam mendukung pengembangan sumber daya manusia Indonesia. Sebagaimana diketahui, setelah sukses dengan pendirian Monash University di Tangerang pada 2022, terdapat beberapa institusi pendidikan Australia yang saat ini dalam proses pendirian kampus di Indonesia.
Mulai dari Western Sydney University di Surabaya, Deakin University di Bandung, dan Central Queensland University di Balikpapan (program studi Nursing), penawaran program penelitian bersama serta kerja sama di bidang digital terkait dengan Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Indonesia menyambut baik berbagai tawaran kerja sama dari Australia. Menko Airlangga menyampaikan, Indonesia sangat terbuka untuk kerja sama pengembangan Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
“(TVET) melalui pendirian pusat pelatihan vokasi dengan standar yang dimiliki Australia, untuk meningkatkan kapasitas tenaga kerja dan mendorong penciptaan lapangan kerja,” jabar Menko.
Pada kesempatan tersebut, Menko Airlangga juga mengundang Menteri Husic untuk berkunjung ke Batam guna melihat Apple Academy dan kerja sama pelatihan talenta digital dengan Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT University), serta pembicaraan lebih detail terkait kerja sama yang ditawarkan.
Selain pertemuan bilateral dengan Menteri Industri dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Australia, Menko Airlangga diagendakan juga akan memimpin CEO Meeting, dan akan hadir dalam Forum Bisnis dan Resepsi KADIN Indonesia, serta mendampingi Presiden RI dalam berbagai rangkaian acara pada Konferensi Tingkat Tinggi (KTT) Khusus ASEAN-Australia 2024.
