Arusberita.id – Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) RI menargetkan rekapitulasi penghitungan suara Pemilu 2024 tingkat nasional selesai sebelum 20 Maret 2024 mendatang.
Komisioner KPU RI August Mellaz menyebut rekapitulasi bisa saja selesai pada 18 Maret.
“Kalau target kami malah sebelumnya. Misalnya apakah mungkin nanti tanggal 18 (Maret),” ujar Mellaz di Kantor Kantor KPU RI, Jakarta, Rabu (13/3).
Merujuk UU No. 7 tahun 2017 tentang Pemilihan Umum, KPU wajib menyelesaikan proses penghitungan suara paling lambat 35 hari setelah pemungutan suara.
Jika pemungutan suara dilaksanakan pada 14 Februari, maka batas akhir proses penghitungan suara adalah pada 20 Maret.
KPU RI, ucap Mellaz, terus memantau perkembangan rekapitulasi yang saat ini berlangsung di tingkat provinsi. Menurut dia, proses rekapitulasi di tingkat provinsi sudah di tahap akhir.
“Tinggal nanti begitu selesai kita jadwalkan untuk pelaksanaan rekapitulasi yang di tingkat nasional,” kata Mellaz.
Proses rekapitulasi suara sudah rampung di 16 provinsi. Pada hari ini, KPU menggelar rekapitulasi tingkat nasional untuk provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara dan Sulawesi Barat (Panel A) dan Jawa Timur (Panel B).
