Arusberita.id – Ekonom dari The Institute for Development of Economics and Finance (Indef), Andry Satrio Nugroho, mengungkapkan bahwa konsumsi masyarakat pasca-Lebaran diperkirakan mengalami penurunan signifikan, yang kemungkinan akan memengaruhi pertumbuhan ekonomi.
“Kalau [pertumbuhan ekonomi] hanya 5% atau lebih rendah, bisa disebut lebih buruk daripada masa sebelum Covid,” ujar Andry.
Meskipun Staf Khusus Menteri Koordinator Bidang Perekonomian, Ahmed Zaki Iskandar, memproyeksikan pergerakan ekonomi selama periode mudik Lebaran mencapai Rp386 triliun, Andry merasa target itu tidak akan tercapai.
“Karena sudah tertekan daya belinya, ini yang menurut saya mereka akan mengerem [untuk berbelanja], karena uangnya sudah habis duluan di awal,” ujar Andry Jumat (12/4/2024).
Menurut data dari Badan Pusat Statistik, inflasi pada Maret 2024 mencapai 3,05%, terutama dipengaruhi oleh kenaikan harga pada sektor makanan dan minuman.
“Jadi uang masyarakat ini justru “makan tabungan”. Mereka THR-nya banyak, bukannya dibawa ke daerah tapi malah dihabiskan misalnya untuk makanan, minuman karena harganya terlampau tinggi,” tambahnya.
