Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) mengatakan bahwa kecepatan pelayanan, upaya memperpendek antrean pasien, hingga perbaikan fasilitas rumah sakit merupakan persoalan Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial (BPJS) yang perlu segera dibenahi. Hal ini disampaikan melalui siaran langsung YouTube Sekretariat Presiden (Setpres) di Jakarta.
Presiden Jokowi juga menyatakan bahwa layanan BPJS Kesehatan terus mengalami pembenahan ke arah yang lebih baik, meski masih didapati adanya antrean pasien di fasilitas pelayanan kesehatan.
“Memang layanan masih antre itu yang perlu dipercepat, tapi di semua hampir sama, tapi tadi saya tanyakan memang baru 30 menit, belum berjam-jam lah sehingga masih baik,” kata Presiden Jokowi saat meninjau RSUD Kota Salatiga, Provinsi Jawa Tengah, Senin 21 Januari 2024.
Selain masalah BPJS, program pemerintah yang dicek oleh Presiden adalah Kartu Indonesia Sehat (KIS) yang kini sudah diberikan kepada sekitar 96 juta penduduk Indonesia.
Selain itu, ada pula layanan Jaminan Kesehatan Nasional (JKN) yang kini dikelola BPJS Kesehatan. Layanan ini sudah mencakup 267 juta peserta atau setara 95 persen lebih dari populasi penduduk Indonesia.
