Arusberita.id – Badan Pangan Nasional (Bapanas) memerintahkan Perum Bulog untuk menyerap 2,4 juta ton beras petani pada tahun ini.
Kepala Badan Pangan Nasional (Bapanas), Arief Prasetyo Adi mengatakan penugasan ini dilakukan pada saat panen raya untuk pengamanan stok cadangan beras pemerintah (CBP).
“Kami perintahkan Bulog bisa serap 2,4 juta ton. Perintahnya begitu,” kata Arief usai Rapat Kerja Bersama Komisi IV DPR di Gedung DPR, Rabu (13/3).
Menurutnya, tidak ada alasan bagi Bulog untuk tidak bisa menyerap beras petani. Terlebih, Kementerian Pertanian (Kementan) tahun ini manargetkan produksi padi mencapai 32 juta ton dari yang sebelumnya hanya 31 juta ton.
Selain itu, Bulog telah memiliki infrastruktur yang menunjang seperti Modern Rice Mililing Plant (MRMP), hingga gudang yang ada di seluruh wilayah di Indonesia.
“Jadi harus dikerjakan karena MRMP-nya udah terpasang 10, itu buat apa? Kan dia punya penggiling ada 10 pabrik nih. Itu kan dipasang untuk apa?,” kata Arief.
