Ganjar dan para pendukungnya memakai pakaian dengan motif tersebut saat acara Silaturahmi 1 Muharam 1445H Relawan Ganjar Pranowo di Senayan, Jakarta, Rabu (19/7/2023).
Menurut Ganjar, kemeja tersebut didesain Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) yang juga merupakan kader PDIP. Baju tersebut ternyata sengaja dibuat untuk menjadi identitas kampanyenya di Pilpres 2024.
“Pak Jokowi memberikan desain baju yang saya pakai ini,” kata Ganjar.
Ganjar mengungkapkan, Jokowi menyampaikan ide rancangan baju tersebut saat bertemu dengan dirinya beberapa waktu lalu. Saat itu, lanjut Ganjar, Jokowi menyerahkan sebuah kertas yang memuat desain baju garis garis hitam putih.
“Sampai pada akhirnya beliau (Jokowi) menyampaikan selembar kertas kepada saya, ‘Pak Ganjar, mungkin ini bagus’,” kata Ganjar.
“Saya lihat, saya bolak, saya balik, dan yang bagus itu adalah baju yang saya pakai ini. Bahkan beliau pun sangat perhatian sampai detail baju sehingga merekomendasikan untuk saya pakai,” imbuhnya.
Ganjar menjelaskan mengenai warna hitam putih yang dipilih yakni sebagai penegasan soal kepastian.
“Dia menekankan pentingnya identitas yang pasti, hitam atau putih. “Kenapa hitam-putih? Saya sampaikan bahwa saya bukan orang abu-abu. Ketika kita bersikap pada suatu keputusan yang sulit, Anda mau pilih yang mana? Hitam atau putih,” pungkasnya.
