Arusberita.id – Partisipasi masyarakat untuk memilih dalam pemilihan Presiden (Pilpres) dan pemilihan Legislatif (Pileg) bulan Februari 2024 lalu di Kabupaten Merauke mencapai 77 persen.
Diharapkan dalam pemilihan kepala daerah (pilkada) yang berlangsung 27 November 2024 angka partisipasi itu bisa meningkat.
“Kami sudah melakukan berbagai upayadan mengoptimalkan kegiatan sosialiasi dari kampung ke kota. Kami harapkan masyarakat benar-benar tahu informasi dan berpartisipasi dalam pilkada”, ujar anggota Komisioner KPU Merauke Divisi Sosialisasi, Pendidikan Pemilih, Partisipasi Masyarakat dan SDM, Yanderzon Viktor Billik di sela-sela lomba goyang memilih Animha di Gor Hiad Say, Sabtu (23/11/2024) malam.
Viktor sendiri sangat optimis bahwa pelaksanaan Pilkada serentak tahun 2024 di Merauke bisa terlaksana dengan baik. KPU sendiri melaksanakan berbagai bentuk kegiatan sosialiasi untuk masyarakat mulai kalangan anak muda, mahasiswa, orangtua, para tokoh agama, tokoh masyarakat hingga tokoh perempuan.
Lomba goyang kali ini juga menyasar semua kalangan dengan maksud informasi soal pilkada di Kabupaten Merauke bisa tersampaikan kepada masyarakat. Diharapkan antusias masyarakat untuk datang memberikan hak pilihnya di TPS nanti semakin meningkat.
