Arusberita.id – Direktur Pencegahan Badan Nasional Pencegahan Terorisme (BNPT) Irfan Idris mengingatkan agar semua pihak waspadai penyebaran radikalisme melalui media sosial yang kini cenderung kian marak.
Hal itu disampaikan Direktur BNPT dibacakan oleh Ketua Forum Koordinasi Pencegahan Terorisme (FKPT) Kalimantan Utara Datu Iskandar Zulkarnaen di Tarakan, pada pembukaan “Kenduri (Kenali Lingkungan Diri Sendiri) Desa Damai,” seperti dilansir Antara, Rabu (5/6/2024).
Kian maju dunia media sosial maka ada kecenderungan penyebaran paham radikal dan terorisme kian marak, misalnya berdasarkan survei FKPT Kaltara dan BNPT tahun 2017 Kalimantan Utara menjadi urutan ke lima daerah di Indonesia yang berpotensi aksi radikalisme yang salah-satunya penyebarannya melalui media sosial.
“Terorisme jelas menjadi ancaman bagi peradaban modern sehingga semakin jelas bahwa teror bukan merupakan bentuk kejahatan kekerasan destruktif biasa, melainkan kejahatan terhadap perdamaian dan keamanan umat manusia tanpa memandang suku, ras, agama dan negara, ” katanya dalam acara kerja sama BNPT dengan FKPT Kaltara itu.
“Kini, penyebaran paham radikal di media sosial sangat marak digenjarkan oleh kelompak radikal terorisme, mulai kalangan gen Z hingga gen X semua berpotensi terpapar, ” katanya dalam kegiatan dengan tema “Kegiatan Kenduri untuk mewujudkan Desa Siaga dengan resiliensi”.
“Dengan mencermati kondisi itu, maka seluruh lapisan masyarakat merupakan sasaran empuk terpapar radikal terorisme, ” ujarnya.
Ia mengingatkan kelompok ini mengincar kelengahan masyarakat dan pemerintah untuk mempengaruhi para tokoh muda begitupun organisasi maupun lembaga pemerintah dan menjadikan media sosial sebagai sarana perekrutannya, ” katanya.
Ia menjelaskan bahwa terorisme merupakan tindak kejahatan besar di dunia. Kejahatan ini tidak disertai dengan pemahaman agama, karena semua agama mengajarkan kedamaian. Jika dilihat dari dampak terorisme, yaitu merusak stabilitas ekonomi, politik, pertahanan di negara. Teror merupakan bentuk kejahatan yang serius.
“Penyebaran paham radikal sangat marak. BNPT mengajak para bapak ibu untuk lebih memahami peran bapak ibu, agar kita bisa terbebas dari paham radikalisme. Harapannya kita bisa menjaga kedamaian di tengah-tengah masyarakat, ” katanya.
