Arusberita.id – Bank Indonesia (BI) mengeklaim Indonesia menduduki peringkat pertama sebagai negara dengan ekonomi terbesar di Asia Tenggara pada 2023. Nilai Produk Domestik Bruto (PDB) negara ini mencapai 1,4 triliun dolar AS.
Menurut BI, angka tersebut setara dengan 36,7 persen dari total PDB ASEAN dan 1,4 persen dari total PDB global. Nilai PDB ini bahkan menjadikan Indonesia sebagai negara dengan ekonomi terbesar ke-16 di dunia, melampaui Belanda, Arab Saudi, dan Turki.
”Usaha tak akan mengkhianati hasil,” tulis BI di Instagram, Kamis (14/3/2024).
BI kemudian menjelaskan bahwa ekonomi Indonesia pada 2023 tumbuh kuat sebesar 5,05 persen secara tahunan atau year-on-year (yoy). Besaran itu diprakirakan meningkat dalam kisaran 4,7—5,5 persen pada tahun ini. Hal itu didukung oleh permintaan domestik dan peningkatan investasi yang sejalan dengan keberlanjutan pembangunan Proyek Strategis Nasional (PSN) di Indonesia.
”Prestasi dan capaian yang telah ditorehkan oleh perekonomian Indonesia sejauh ini tentu tak lepas dari upaya dan kerja keras berbagai pihak. Untuk mempertahankan kinerja positif ini, BI terus memperkuat sinergi bauran kebijakan untuk menjaga stabilitas melalui kebijakan moneter dan mendukung pencapaian pertumbuhan ekonomi,” pungkas BI.
Di bawah Indonesia, Thailand menempati urutan kedua ekonomi terbesar se-Asia Tenggara dengan nilai PDB 512,19 miliar dolar AS. Lalu, Singapura di urutan ketiga dengan PDB 497,35 miliar dolar AS, diikuti Filipina 435,68 miliar dolar AS, Vietnam 433,36 miliar dolar AS, dan Malaysia 430,9 miliar dolar AS.
