Arusberita.id – Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) menggelar rapat terbatas bersama sejumlah Menteri Kabinet Indonesia Maju, pada 10/7/2023, di Istana Merdeka, Jakarta.
Kepala Badan Pangan Nasional Arief Prasetyo Adi dalam keterangannya mengatakan bahwa rapat tersebut membahas sejumlah hal terkait stok pangan, mulai dari El Nino hingga hilirisasi pangan.
“Yang dibicarakan adalah terkait El Nino, kemudian yang berikutnya lagi mempersiapkan peningkatan produksi khususnya produksi pertanian pangan (stok pangan) , dan yang berikutnya lagi adalah untuk hilirisasi dari pangan tersebut,” ujar Arief kepada awak media usai mengikuti ratas di Kompleks Istana Kepresidenan Jakarta, Senin (10/7/2023).
Terkait pangan, Arief mengatakan bahwa pemerintah telah mengatur pembagian tugas terkait sejumlah bidang pangan. Perum Bulog ditugaskan untuk mengatur beras, jagung, dan kedelai. Sedangkan produk lainnya yang terdapat dalam Perpres Nomor 66 Tahun 2021 tentang Badan Pangan Nasional akan diatur oleh BUMN bidang pangan, yaitu ID Food.
Selain itu, ratas tersebut juga membahas terkait skema pendanaan murah yang sedang disiapkan oleh Kementerian Keuangan. Arief menyebut bahwa skema pendanaan tersebut nantinya akan diberikan dalam bentuk pinjaman.
“Ada penjaminan dari Menteri Keuangan kemudian akan diberikan kepada Himbara (Himpunan Bank Milik Negara). Himbara memberikan kepada BUMN di bidang pangan, yang pertama adalah Bulog, yang satunya adalah ID Food,” ungkap Arief.
Sementara itu, berdasarkan data yang diterima, tercatat bahwa inflasi berada di posisi yang stabil yaitu 3,5 persen. Presiden Jokowi pun minta jajarannya untuk mempertahankan atau menurunkan angka inflasi tersebut.
“Sehingga tetap inflasi itu di bawah dari pertumbuhan ekonomi,” tutur Arief.
Dalam kesempatan yang sama, Dirut Bulog Budi Waseso menjelaskan Bulog terus menyerap produksi pangan dari dalam negeri. Bulog juga akan segera menyerap produksi jagung dari hasil panen di Papua. “Kita sambil berjalan ya, sambil berjalan terus, serap langsung kita sampaikan,” kata Budi.
Rapat yang dipimpin Presiden Jokowi pada Senin siang ini juga membahas mengenai hilirisasi produk pangan.
Sementara, musim kekeringan atau yang dikenal El Nino telah tiba. Badan cuaca PBB telah mengumumkan awal dari El Nino, memperingatkan kembalinya fenomena iklim tersebut dapat menyebabkan lonjakan suhu global dan kondisi cuaca ekstrem.
Organisasi Meteorologi Dunia atau WMO memperkirakan bahwa ada kemungkinan 90 persen dari peristiwa El Nino akan bertahan hingga paruh kedua tahun ini dan diperkirakan “setidaknya dengan kekuatan sedang”.
“Awal dari El Nino akan sangat meningkatkan kemungkinan memecahkan rekor suhu dan memicu panas yang lebih ekstrem di banyak bagian dunia dan di lautan,” kata Petteri Taalas, Sekretaris Jenderal Organisasi Meteorologi Dunia .
“Deklarasi El Nino oleh WMO adalah sinyal bagi pemerintah di seluruh dunia untuk memobilisasi persiapan guna membatasi dampak terhadap kesehatan kita, ekosistem kita, dan ekonomi kita,” jelasnya.
Taalas juga menyarakan, “peringatan dini dan tindakan antisipatif dari peristiwa cuaca ekstrem yang terkait dengan fenomena iklim besar ini sangat penting untuk menyelamatkan nyawa dan mata pencaharian”.
Secara terpisah, laporan WMO pada bulan Mei, yang dipimpin oleh Kantor Met Inggris, memperingatkan ada 66 persen kemungkinan bahwa rata-rata tahunan suhu global dekat permukaan antara tahun 2023 dan 2027 akan melampaui 1,5 derajat Celsius.
Pengumuman Organisasi Meteorologi Dunia pada awal Juni, yang mengatakan kondisi El Nino telah dekat dan diperkirakan akan menguat secara bertahap hingga musim dingin di wilayah Utara Bumi”.
