Arusberita.id – Rombongan tim Barcelona Juvenil A dan timnas U-17 Indonesia tiba di Bali pada Senin, 31 Juli 2023. Barcelona Juvenil A, berkekuatan 30 orang pemain, staf pelatih, dan tim penunjang, mendarat di Bandara Udara Internasional I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Badung, Bali, pada pukul 08.40 WITA.
Kedatangan skuat Blaugrana Junior disambut para petinggi dari Pemerintahan Provinsi Bali seperti Gubernur I Wayan Koster, Wali Kota Denpasar, IGN Jaya Negara, Kepala Dinas Pendidikan, Pemuda, dan Olahraga, Boy Jayawibawa serta Ketua Asosiasi Sepak Bola PSSI Provinsi Bali, Ketut Suardana.
Timnas U-17 Indonesia akan menjadikan laga melawan Barcelona untuk persiapan menuju Piala Dunia U-17 2023 di Indonesia pada 10 November-2 Desember mendatang. Selain Barcelona, skuad asuhan Bima Sakti bakal menghadapi lawan yang kuat lain seperti Kashima Antlers U-18.
Barcelona dan Kashima Antlers U-18 datang ke Indonesia untuk mengikuti International Youth Championship atau IYC 2023 yang digelar di Bali, 7-14 Agustus 2023. Timnas U-17, yang akan menggunakan nama Garuda United akan menghadapi Barcelona Juvenil A pada Rabu, 2 Agustus 2023 dan Kashima Antlers pada Sabtu, 5 Agustus 2023.
Kedua laga timnas U-17 digelar di Stadion Ngurah Rai, Denpasar. “Timnas U-17 Indonesia membutuhkan pengalaman bermain dengan klub internasional sekelas Barcelona Juvenil A untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mereka. Momen ini sangat berarti dan harus dimanfaatkan dengan baik,” ucap Gede Widiade, Ketua Pancoran Soccer Field (PSF),
Gede berperan membawa Barcelona Juvenil A ke Bali sebagai bagian dari IYC 2023. Rombongan Barcelona Juvenil A dari bandara langsung menuju penginapan di kawasan Kuta. Sebelum menggelar uji tanding dengan timnas U-17, Barcelona Juvenil A terlebih dahulu akan melakukan latihan, Senin, 31 Juli 2023 pada pukul 17.00 WITA di Lapangan Trisakti, Legian.
Persiapan untuk menggelar IYC 2023 terus dilakukan. Sepekann sebelum gelaran tersebut, Stadion Ngurah Rai, Denpasar sudah steril dari berbagai macam kegiatan. Area parkir di kawasan tersebut dikosongkan dari kendaraan selain panitia pelaksana serta petuas keamanan.
Turnamen IYC 2023 akan diikuti empat tim. Keempat tim itu adalah Barcelona Juvenil A, Real Madrid U-17, Kashima Antlers U-18, dan Bhayangkara Presisi FC.
