Arusberita.id – Jenazah mantan Gubernur Papua Lukas Enembe telah tiba di Kabupaten Jayapura, Papua, hari ini. Kedatangan jenazah Lukas Enembe disambut isak tangis warga.
Dilansir dari detikSulsel, Kamis (28/12/2023) di Bandara Sentani, Jayapura, jenazah Lukas tiba sekitar pukul 09.30 WIT, pagi. Jenazah dibawa menggunakan pesawat Garuda Indonesia dengan nomor penerbangan GIA 6058.
Setibanya di bandara, peti jenazah langsung diturunkan dari pesawat dan digotong untuk dibawa masuk ke ruangan VIP Bandara Sentani.
Tampak Pj Gubernur Papua Ridwan Rumasukun menyambut kedatangan jenazah Lukas. Kapolda Papua Irjen Mathius D. Fakhiri dan Pangdam XVII/Cenderawasih Mayjen Izak Pangemanan turut terlihat di lokasi.
Sementara di luar area bandara masyarakat hadir menyambut kedatangan mendiang Lukas. Tangis mereka pun pecah setelah menyaksikan peti jenazah Lukas.
Awalnya jenazah Lukas Enembe akan dibawa menggunakan mobil ambulans. Namun, warga memaksa agar jenazah Lukas Enembe diarak dengan berjalan kaki.
Pihak keluarga Lukas dan aparat sempat menolak permintaan warga tersebut. Keinginan itu akhirnya dipenuhi setelah warga tetap bersikukuh untuk tetap mengarak peti jenazah.
Diiringi tangis ribuan warga, peti jenazah Gubernur Papua 2 periode itu akhirnya diarak ke tempat persemayaman sementara di STAKIN. Selanjutnya di STAKIN nanti, jenazah Lukas akan melalui prosesi ibadah pelepasan.
