Arusberita.id – Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) ingin agar pengembalian kerugian negara dilakukan secara maksimal.
Upaya penyelamatan dan pengembalian uang negara dilakukan perlu dimaksimalkan sehingga pengaturan tentang perampasan aset menjadi penting untuk dikawal bersama.
“Kita tahu, kita telah mendorong, mengajukan Rancangan Undang-Undang (RUU) Perampasan Aset ke DPR dan juga RUU Pembatasan Uang Kartal ke DPR,” ucap Jokowi di Istana Negara, Rabu (17/4).
Jokowi menegaskan negara harus mengembalikan apa yang menjadi milik negara dan hak rakyat.
“Pihak yang melakukan pelanggaran, semuanya harus bertanggungjawab atas kerugian negara yang diakibatkan,” kata Jokowi.
Adapun Presiden Jokowi berkomitmen untuk menguatkan pencegahan dan pemberantasan tindak pidana pencucian uang (TPPU) pasca bergabungnya Indonesia sebagai anggota penuh ke-40 Financial Action Task and Force (FATF) sejak Oktober 2023 yang lalu.
“Sehingga kredibilitas ekonomi kita menjadi meningkat, kemudian juga persepsi mengenai sistem keuangan kita juga semakin baik, semakin positif. Penting sekali,” ujarnya.
