Arusberita.id – Kementerian Pertanian (Kementan) dan Kementerian Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) memperkuat kolaborasi guna mencapai swasembada pangan.
Selain itu, Kementan juga akan memacu intensifikasi hingga ekstensifikasi lahan.
Menteri Pertanian Andi Amran Sulaiman mengatakan dalam swasembada pangan, Kementan akan menjadi pemimpin dan bertanggung jawab atas hal-hal yang ada di dalamnya.
Untuk mencapai target swasembada, Kementan menggalakan 2 program.
Pertama, intensifikasi atau pompanisasi. Contoh, satu lahan yang tadinya hanya bisa satu kali tanam, nanti menjadi tiga kali tanam.
Kedua, ekstensifikasi. Pemerintahan Presiden Prabowo Subianto berjanji akan mencetak sawah hingga 3 juta hektar, sehigga dalam setahun Kementan akan mencetak sekitar 700.000 hektar- 1 juta hektar lahan.
“Kita sudah mau mulai dari Merauke, Kalimantan Tengah, Kalimantan Selatan, Sumatera Selatan, Kalimantan Barat, Aceh, Jambi, dan seterusnya,” kata Amran, Selasa (22/10/2024).
Selain itu, kata Amran, Kementan akan berkolaborasi ini merupakan tindak lanjut dari arahan Presiden Prabowo untuk mencapai swasembada pangan secepat-cepatnya.
“Kita respons cepat gagasan besar beliau (Prabowo). Ini gagasan besar Bapak Presiden tentang swasembada pangan dan energi,” kata Amran.
Amran menuturkan, untuk mencapai swasembada pangan tidak dapat dilakukan secara sendiri dan harus ada kolaborasi antar sektoral.
Kolaborasi dilakukan untuk membuang ego sektoral yang berisiko menghambat wacana swasembada pangan.
“Tetapi yang terpenting adalah kita bergerak cepat, kolaborasi. Hilangkan egoisme sektoral untuk mencapai mimpi kita. Mimpi Bapak Presiden gagasan besar, perintah beliau, kami dipanggil menghadap kemarin, perintah beliau paling lambat swasembada 4 tahun,” ujarnya.
Di tempat yang sama, Menteri BUMN Erick Thohir mengatakan sinergi keduanya hadir dalam bentuk kebijakan guna mencapai tujuan swasembada pangan dalam waktu singkat.
“Kita punya kesepakatan penuh mendukung program Bapak Presiden, melalui Pak Mentan, Pak Amran, untuk kita mensinergikan seluruh kebijakan yang memang diperlukan untuk Menteri Pertanian,” ucap Erick.
Sebelumnya, dalam pidato perdananya, Prabowo mencanangkan agar sang Tanah Air dapat mewujudkan ketahanan pangan secepatnya.
“Karena itu tidak ada jalan lain dalam waktu yang sesingkat-singkatnya kita harus mencapai ketahanan pangan,” terangnya, yang kemudian disambut dengan tepuk tangan. Prabowo juga mengaku telah mempelajari bersama dengan pakar soal mewujudkan misi isi.
“Saya sudah mempelajari bersama para pakar yang membantu saya saya yakin paling lambat 4 sampai 5 tahun kita akan Swasembada pangan bahkan kita siap menjadi lumbung pangan dunia,” tuturnya.
