Arusberita.id – Kementerian Kesehatan (Kemenkes) mencatat kasus monkeypox atau cacar monyet per Kamis (26/10) bertambah menjadi total sebanyak 14 kasus.
Hal itu disampaikan Direktur Jenderal Pencegahan dan Pengendalian Penyakit Maxi Rein Rondonuwu dalam konferensi pers perkembangan kasus monkeypox di Indonesia.
“Sampai hari ini data sampai tadi malam, pada tanggal 26 Oktober kita sudah ada 14 kasus konfirmasi (monkeypox),” ujarnya kepada wartawan, Kamis (26/10).
Selain itu, ia menerangkan bahwa masih ada dua kasus probable atau dua orang yang melakukan kontak erat dengan kasus positif monkeypox tapi belum diambil sampel laboratorium.
“Kemudian suspek ini ada gejala dan kita sudah bisa ambil sampel tinggal menunggu hasilnya,” jelas Maxi.
Kemenkes melakukan vaksinasi sebagai langkah penanganan. Hingga kini setidaknya sudah 157 orang berisiko cacar monyet yang sudah divaksinasi.
“Capaian vaksinasi saat ini adalah 157 orang. Sudah berjalan dan terjadwal di empat atau lima Puskesmas di DKI Jakarta,” imbuh Maxi seperti dikutip dari Antara.
Maxi menambahkan sasaran vaksin ini adalah para pria yang termasuk dalam kelompok lelaki suka lelaki (LSL). Alasannya, kelompok tersebut memiliki kaitan dengan penderita yang tertular.
Lebih lanjut, sasaran vaksinasi adalah orang yang aktif berhubungan seksual dalam dua minggu terakhir. Kemenkes pun bekerja sama dengan LSM pemerhati kelompok LSL tersebut untuk melakukan penelusuran.
Maxi menambahkan, pihaknya telah menyiapkan seribu dosis vaksin cacar monyet untuk diberikan kepada masing-masing sasaran sebanyak dua dosis.
“Kami juga berkoordinasi dengan ASEAN untuk memperoleh dua ribu dosis vaksin tambahan,” imbuhnya.
Meskipun demikian, jumlah vaksin tersebut kemungkinan belum cukup karena Kemenkes memperkirakan ada lebih dari 3.600 kasus positif. “Hitungan kami ada 3.600 kasus, jadi kalau setidaknya kami membutuhkan sekitar 6.500 vaksin,” kata Maxi.
Adapun jenis vaksin Monkeypox yang akan digunakan adalah vaksin impor produksi Bavarian Nordic, Denmark dengan merk dagang JYNNEOS®️ kemasan single-dose.
Dikutip dari laman resmi Kemenkes, vaksin tersebut telah memiliki Sertifikat Pelulusan Vaksin (Certificate of Release) dari Badan POM terbit 17 Maret 2023.
