Arusberita.id – Kunjungan Presiden Joko Widodo ke SMK Negeri 2 Palembang, Kota Palembang, Provinsi Sumatra Selatan pada Kamis (26/10/2023) kemarin, tidak hanya meninggalkan kesan mendalam bagi para siswa maupun guru di sekolah tersebut. Ya, ini merupakan kali pertama seorang presiden berkunjung ke sekolah tersebut.
Namun, lebih dari itu, kunjungan tersebut berbuah “oleh-oleh” manis berupa mobil listrik dari Presiden Jokowi untuk dimanfaatkan para siswa. Kepala SMK Negeri 2 Palembang, Suparman, bercerita tentang bagaimana awalnya Presiden Jokowi tertarik untuk memberikan mobil listrik ke sekolah yang dipimpinnya.
Menurutnya, saat Presiden Jokowi meninjau jurusan teknik kendaraan ringan di sekolahnya, Suparman menyampaikan bahwa pihaknya masih kekurangan mobil berteknologi hybrid sebagai bahan praktik. Mendengar hal tersebut, Presiden Jokowi justru menawarkan alternatif lain, yaitu mobil listrik.
“Kenapa tidak listrik murni saja? Kan kalau hybrid masih menggunakan bahan bakar,” ujar Suparman mengutip Presiden Jokowi.
Menurut Suparman, Presiden Jokowi memandang bahwa ke depannya semua kendaraan akan beralih dari bahan bakar fosil ke energi baru terbarukan. Hal tersebut dikarenakan bahan bakar fosil makin lama akan makin habis dan menghilang.
“Alhamdulillah saya ngomong minta bantu mobil listrik, kemudian dia (Presiden Jokowi) bilang ‘Oke siang ini kami antar. Mau mobil yang mana?’ Kalau saya mana saja yang penting mobil listrik. Tapi kalau misalkan dia masih pakai bahan bakar, di sini sudah cukup. Dan dia berikan mobil listrik,” tutur Suparman.
Setelah kunjungan Presiden Jokowi pada pagi hari, mobil listrik yang dijanjikan tersebut pun datang ke SMK Negeri 2 Palembang pada siang harinya. Mobil tersebut kemudian diserahterimakan dari pihak Sekretariat Presiden yang mewakili Presiden Jokowi ke pihak SMK Negeri 2 Palembang.
Suparman pun berharap kehadiran mobil listrik dari Presiden Jokowi tersebut dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran bagi para siswa SMK Negeri 2 Palembang. Terlebih, saat ini teknologi di bidang otomotif juga terus berkembang sehingga kehadiran mobil listrik tersebut akan menunjang proses pembelajaran agar tetap relevan dengan kebutuhan industri.
“Kami sekali lagi mengucapkan terima kasih, semoga bantuan mobil listriknya bisa kami manfaatkan untuk pembelajaran siswa dan juga kalau bisa semua jurusan dapat bantuan karena teknologi selalu berkembang, sedangkan kita teknologinya tetap yang seperti ini ya nanti ketinggalan dengan dunia industri,” tandasnya.
