Arusberita.id – Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) berpesan pembiayaan bagi pelaku Usaha Kecil Menengah Mikro (UMKM) harus dipermudah, terlebih penyaluran kredit dari perbankan ke UMKM masih minim.
Hal itu diungkapkan Jokowi dalam Pembukaan UMKM Expo(rt) Brilianpreneur, di Jakarta Convention Center, Senayan, Kamis (7/12/2023). Acara juga dihadiri Menteri Koordinator Bidang Perekonomian Airlangga Hartarto, Menteri Perdagangan Zulkifli Hasan, Menteri Koperasi dan UKM Teten Masduki, Menteri BUMN Erick Thohir, hingga Direktur Utama PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Sunarso.
“Pembiayaan UMKM harus dipermudah karena kalau kita lihat penyaluran kredit perbankan ke UMKM baru 21% dari total kredit yang ada dan yang paling gede memang di BRI,” kata Jokowi dalam sambutannya.
Ia pun menanyakan nominal kredit yang diberikan BRI kepada pengusaha UMKM.
“Di BRI sendiri 83%, pengusaha mikro usaha kecil yang pegang memang semuanya berarti hampir semuanya dipegang oleh BRI,” kata Jokowi.
Jokowi melihat kredit perbankan ke UMKM di Indonesia baru 21%, sangat jauh jika dibandingkan negara lain seperti China 65%, Jepang 65%, dan India 50%. Untuk itu ia menugaskan Menteri BUMN Erick Thohir dengan Bank Indonesia dan OJK, untuk memperbaiki regulasi kredit bagi UMKM.
“Ini regulasinya yang harus diperbaiki karena tidak semua UMKM kita memiliki aset agunan, memiliki collateral, sehingga prospek itu juga harus dilihat jangan hanya melihat agunannya mana, dilihat juga dong prospeknya. Nggak punya agunan tapi prospeknya bagus mestinya juga bisa diberikan kredit,” tutur Jokowi.
Selain itu, eks Gubernur DKI Jakarta ini juga mengingatkan bagi pelaku usaha UMKM untuk selalu melihat permintaan, tren, hingga selera pasar.
“Selalu harus diperbaiki setiap tahun harus selalu diperbaiki agar produk-produk kita tetap up to date dan mampu memenuhi selera pasar yang ada,” jelasnya.
