Arusberita.id – Pemilihan Kepala Daerah (Pilkada) di wilayah-wilayah penyangga Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN), Kalimantan Timur (Kaltim), akan berlangsung pada November 2024.
Guna mendukung kelancaran perhelatan demokrasi lima tahunan itu, Kepolisian Daerah (Polda) Kaltim menyiapkan sebanyak 5.240 personel dalam Operasi Mantap Praja Mahakam 2024.
Kepala Bidang Hubungan Masyarakat Polda Kaltim Komisaris Besar Polisi Artanto memerinci, personil terdiri dari 1.234 personel Polda Kaltim, kemudian satuan tugas (satgas) dari Polres jajaran sebanyak 4.006 personel.
“Operasi Mantap Praja Mahakam ini juga digelar pada Pilkada 2020 lalu,” ujar Artanto, Jumat (31/5/2024).
Artanto menjelaskan, operasi tersebut melibatkan satgas Prefentif, satgas Kanseltiblantas, satgas Gakum, satgas Tindak, satgas Humas serta satgas BanOps.
Satgas-satgas ini berperan menjamin keamanan dalam penyelenggaraan Pilkada 2024 di Kaltim.
“Jadi kami menjamin terselenggaranya Pilkada berjalan dengan baik. Kami akan all out melaksanakan giat pengamanan ini demi suksesnya Pilkada 2024,” tegas Artanto.
Operasi serupa sudah pernah dilaksanakan oleh Polda Kaltim, seperti operasi Mantap Brata pada pelaksanaan Pemilihan Umum (Pemilu) beberapa bulan yang lalu.
“Satgas yang lalu kami lakukan evaluasi, dan tentunya dalam operasi ini akan kami lakukan lebih baik lagi,” imbuhnya.
Sementara itu, untuk daerah rawan dalam Pilkada 2024, Polda Kaltim masih melakukan penelitian yang hasilnya akan disampaikan lebih lanjut.
Kerawanan yang terjadi pada Pilkada adalah konflik horizontal, sebab para pasangan calon pemimpin daerah bersentuhan langsung dengan daerah dan masyarakat.
“Maka, yang jadi atensi kami itu adalah konflik horizontal antar paslon,” jelasnya. Operasi Mantap Praja Mahakam 2024 ini akan berlangsung dalam waktu dekat yang ditandai dengan gelar pasukan.
