Arusberita.id – Presiden Prabowo Subianto menjadikan pendidikan sebagai prioritas utama dalam alokasi Anggaran Pendapatan dan Belanja Negara (APBN) 2025 di Kabinet Merah Putih.
Hal itu disampaikan Presiden di hadapan perwakilan guru se-Indonesia serta pejabat terkait, saat berpidato dalam agenda puncak peringatan Hari Guru Nasional 2024 yang berlangsung di Velodrom, Jakarta Timur, Kamis sore.
“Kami, yang menerima mandat dari rakyat yang sekarang berada bersama saya dalam Koalisi Merah Putih, kami yang sekarang memegang tanggung jawab pemerintahan, kami menempatkan pendidikan nomor satu dalam APBN kita,” katanya.
Kebijakan ini, menurut Presiden, merupakan langkah strategis untuk mengentaskan kemiskinan dan mendorong kebangkitan bangsa Indonesia.
“Karena kesadaran saya, bahwa pendidikan adalah kunci kebangkitan bangsa Indonesia dan bahwa bangsa Indonesia ini tidak ada pilihan, kita harus bangkit atau kita terus menjadi negara yang begitu-begitu saja, negara yang rakyatnya masih banyak yang miskin,” katanya.
Presiden menjelaskan bahwa pendidikan memiliki peran sentral dalam upaya menghilangkan kemiskinan. Oleh karena itu, sejak menerima mandat dari rakyat Indonesia, fokus utama pemerintahan yang dipimpinnya adalah meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan.
Dalam kesempatan itu, Presiden Prabowo membandingkan prioritas anggaran berbagai negara di dunia. Ia menyebut bahwa banyak negara besar, seperti Amerika Serikat dan India, menempatkan pertahanan sebagai prioritas utama dalam APBN mereka.
Namun, Presiden menegaskan bahwa pemerintahan saat ini, yang berada di bawah Koalisi Merah Putih, mengambil langkah berbeda dengan menempatkan pendidikan sebagai prioritas nomor satu.
“Dan tidak tanggung-tanggung, saya kira pertama kali dalam sejarah Indonesia, alokasi pendidikan dalam APBN tahun 2025 adalah yang tertinggi dalam sejarah Republik Indonesia,” ujarnya.
Dilansir dari laman Kementerian Keuangan RI, pemerintah telah menetapkan alokasi prioritas APBN 2025, di mana sektor pendidikan memperoleh porsi Rp724,3 triliun dari target pendapatan negara pada RAPBN 2025 Rp3.005,1 triliun.
Dana pendidikan melampaui alokasi perlindungan sosial Rp504,7 triliun, infrastruktur Rp400,3 triliun, kesehatan Rp197,8 triliun, ketahanan pangan Rp139,4 triliun, serta hukum dan hankam Rp375,9 triliun.
Dalam kesempatan itu, Presiden juga menekankan pentingnya peran pendidikan dalam mencapai tujuan nasional sebagaimana tertuang dalam Pembukaan UUD 1945.
Meskipun tujuan nasional pertama adalah melindungi segenap bangsa yang erat kaitannya dengan pertahanan, Presiden menegaskan bahwa pemerintahannya tetap berkomitmen untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan sebagai fondasi bagi masa depan bangsa.
Presiden Prabowo mengakui bahwa meskipun alokasi anggaran pendidikan telah ditingkatkan secara signifikan, masih banyak tantangan yang harus dihadapi.
“Kita menyadari bahwa masih banyak tantangan dan kekurangan. Kami menyadari hal itu,” katanya.
