Arusberita.id – Presiden RI Joko Widodo (Jokowi) mengapresiasi kepercayaan pemerintah Filipina terhadap produk buatan Indonesia khususnya dalam pengadaan alat utama sistem senjata (alutsista).
Demikian disampaikan Presiden saat menerima kunjungan kerhormatan Menteri Pertahanan Filipina, Gilberto Eduardo Gerardo C. Teodoro Jr. pada Kamis (11/01/2024).
“Saya mengapresiasi kepercayaan Departemen Pertahanan Nasional Filipina terhadap produk-produk BUMN Indonesia khususnya produk alutsista seperti pesawat dan kapal,” ucap Presiden saat pertemuan di Peninsula Manila Hotel, Manila, Filipina.
Terkait kerja sama pengadaan pesawat, Presiden Jokowi menyebutkan bahwa hubungan kerja sama tersebut telah terjalin lama. Presiden menyampaikan bahwa saat ini sedang diproses pengadaan enam unit pesawat NC212i produksi PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI).
“Ini bukan pertama kali, hubungan ini telah terjalin selama 38 tahun. Bahkan di 2018 PTDI sudah kirimkan 2 unit pesawat NC212i,” katanya.
Lebih lanjut, Presiden Jokowi meyakini kedua negara dapat terus memperkuat kerja sama tersebut termasuk melalui rencana akuisisi pesawat anti-submarine warfare oleh angkatan laut Filipina. Selain itu, Indonesia turut menawarkan pesawat CN2335-220 produksi PTDI yang dapat dikonfigurasi untuk menjalankan misi perang antikapal selam.
“Kami berharap Indonesia dapat terus mendukung kebutuhan pesawat Filipina melalui G-to-G (antarpemerintah) dengan skema kontrak langsung sebagai komitmen kemitraan jangka panjang,” lanjutnya.
Selain pengadaan pesawat, Indonesia-Filipina juga melakukan kerja sama dalam pengadaan produk alutsista lainnya yaitu kapal. Presiden menjelaskan bahwa kedua negara telah menandatangani kontrak pengadaan dua kapal perang landing dock produksi PT PAL yang sebelumnya juga telah terlaksana di tahun 2016 dan 2017.
“Sekali lagi terima kasih atas kepercayaan Filipina terhadap produk alutsista Indonesia. Saya yakin ke depan akan terjalin kerja sama yang lebih banyak lagi,” ujar Presiden Jokowi.
Turut mendampingi Presiden Jokowi dalam pertemuan tersebut yaitu Menteri Luar Negeri Retno Marsudi dan Menteri BUMN Erick Thohir.
