Arusberita.id – Presiden Joko Widodo menjadi pembina pada upacara peringatan Hari Santri 2023 yang digelar di Tugu Pahlawan, Surabaya, Ahad (22/10/2023).
Jokowi pun mengapresiasi kiprah santri yang menjadi pilar kekuatan bangsa sejak zaman perjuangan kemerdekaan hingga saat ini.
“Santri pilar kekuatan bangsa, pondasi kekokohan bangsa, sudah terbukti sejak zaman perjuangan,” kata Jokowi dalam amanatnya.
Jokowi mengatakan, Indonesia merupakan negara dengan penduduk Muslim terbesar.
Di seluruh wilayah Indoneaia terdapat 36 ribu yang menurut Presiden merupakan sebuah kekuatan besar sekaligus penentu masa depan bangsa.
Sejumlah santri melintas di depan baliho ketika menghadiri apel Hari Santri Nasional (HSN) 2023 di Tugu Pahlawan, Surabaya, Jawa Timur, (22/10/2023).
Kegiatan yang dihadiri sejumlah pejabat pemerintah hingga tokoh ulama Pengurus Besar Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) serta ribuan santri tersebut mengangkat tema “Jihad Santri, Jayakan Negeri”.
