Arusberita.id – Presiden RI Joko Widodo (Jokowi) memastikan bahwa program bantuan pangan beras kepada masyarakat berpendapatan rendah akan terus bergulir.
Hal tersebut disampaikan Presiden saat menyerahkan bantuan pangan cadangan beras pemerintah kepada 1.064 keluarga penerima manfaat (KPM) di Gedung Kawasan Pertanian Terpadu, Kota Tangerang Selatan, Banten, Senin (19/02/2024).
“Jadi ini Januari, Februari, Maret, April, Mei, Juni. Nanti setelah Juni kita lihat APBN-nya mencukupi tidak, kalau mencukupi dilanjutkan lagi,” ujar Presiden.
Program ini, ujar Presiden, merupakan bentuk komitmen pemerintah untuk membantu masyarakat di tengah kenaikan harga pangan utamanya beras saat ini.
“Kenapa [harga] naik? Karena ada yang namanya perubahan iklim, perubahan cuaca, sehingga banyak yang gagal panen. Padahal yang makan tetap, produksinya berkurang, sehingga harganya menjadi naik. Dan, pemerintah kita membantu bantuan beras ini agar meringankan Ibu-ibu semuanya karena tadi, harganya naik,” ujarnya.
Tampak mendampingi Presiden dalam kesempatan tersebut, antara lain, Menteri Investasi/Kepala Badan Koordinasi Penanaman Modal (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia, Sekretaris Kabinet (Seskab) Pramono Anung, Kepala Badan Pangan Nasional (Bapanas) Arief Prasetyo Adi, Direktur Utama (Dirut) Perum Bulog Bayu Khrisnamurti, Pj. Gubernur Banten Al Muktabar, dan Wali Kota Tangerang Selatan Benyamin Davnie.
