Goldman Sachs meramal RI akan menjadi negara dengan ekonomi terbesar keempat dunia pada 2050, tepat di bawah China, AS dan India.
Negara maju tidak lagi menjadi episentrum pertumbuhan. Negara berkembang pun diyakini menggantikan negara-negara kaya.
Proyeksi ini dirangkum dalam Goldman Sachs Global Economics Paper yang diterbitkan beberapa waktu lalu (22/12/2022).
“Indonesia mengantikan Brasil dan Rusia di antara daftar negara berkembang terbesar di kelompok ini,” tulis Goldman, dikutip Kamis (27/7/2023).
Alasan RI diramalkan menjadi negara terbesar dunia dilaporkan dari Laporan Goldman hanya mengindikasikan bahwa pergerakan peringkat ekonomi ini dipengaruhi oleh kondisi demografi.
