Riko bergabung dengan Persija pada awal musim 2018 ini. Perannya pun langsung menjadi sentral karena kerap menjadi motor permainan tim asuhan Teco Cugurra tersebut.
Sayang, perayaan juara Persija terganggu oleh merangseknya The Jakmania, suporter Persija, ke dalam lapangan usai penyerahan piala.
Banyaknya suporter membuat Bambang Pamungkas harus rela kehilangan medali emasnya. VIVA pun sempat mendapat rekaman video usai kehilangan tersebut.
