Arusberita.id – Perum Bulog akui belum optimal dalam menyerap beras dalam negeri.
Direktur Transformasi dan Hubungan Kelembagaan Perum Bulog, Sonya Mamoriska mengatakan hingga Maret 2024 ini, Bulog baru menyerap beras dalam negeri sebanyak 27.000 ton.
Minimnya penyerapan beras dalam negeri dikarenakan beberapa hal yaitu karena mundurnya masa panen dan juga berkurangnya produksi beras dalam negeri sejak akhir tahun lalu.
“Sehingga kita juga belum bisa optimal dalam menyerap gabah atau beras dalam negeri,” jelas Sonya dalam diskusi publik bertajuk Keterjangkauan Harga Pangan Jelang Ramadan 2024 di Jakarta, Rabu (27/3).
Untuk itu dalam memastikan ketersediaan dan stabilisasi harga beras Bulog mengandalkan pengadaan beras dari luar negeri atau impor.
Pada tahun ini, Bulog ditugaskan untuk impor beras sebanyak 3,6 juta dan digunakan untuk beberapa program seperti bantuan program bantuan pangan beras, distribusi beras SPHP dan lainbya.
“Impor itu ada beberapa negara. Ada Thailand, Vietnam, Pakistan, Myanmar dan Kamboja,” ungkap Sonya.
Meski begitu, Sonya mengakui pengadaan dari luar negeri juga banyak menuai hambatan utamanya terkait harga. Pasalnya harga beras dunia juga almi kenaikan, sehingga meskipun impor dari luar, harga berasnya tetap masih tinggi.
“Jadi kita pun juga harus berhati-hati dalam melakukan pembelian masuk ke pasar dunia,” tutup Sonya.
