Arusberita.id – Produksi beras diprediksi turun pada musim tanam kedua (MT II) atau musim kemarau ini.
Direktur Perum Bulog Bayu Krisnamurthi mengakui pada musim kemarau penyerapan beras dalam negeri juga tidak maksimal. Bahkan ia mengatakan pada tahun lalu Bulog hanya berhasil menyerap sebanyak 300.000 ton pada musim paceklik.
“Saya sebut saja, di tahun lalu Bulog semester dua hanya bisa menyerap 30.000 ton,” jelas Bayu saat mengunjungi Sentra Penggilingan Padi (SPP) Bulog di Karawang, Senin (20/5).
Meski begitu, Bayu memastikan kondisi ini tidak akan mengerek harga beras lebih tinggi. Pasalnya, ia mengatakan panen akan terus berlangsung.
Bulog juga menargetkan penyerapan beras dalam negeri pada panen raya di MT I saat ini dapat mencapai 600.000 ton beras untuk menjadi buffer stock di musim kemarau.
“Kita optimistis bisa menyerap 600.000 ton setara beras di musim panen. Dan itu angka yang lebih tinggi dari tahun 2022,” jelas Bayu.
Selain itu, Bayu juga memastikan program stabilisasi beras tetap berjalan melalui penyaluran bantuan pangan beras maupun penyaluran Stabilisasi Pasokan dan Harga Pangan (SPHP).
“Di sisi lain kita juga ada beras komersial untuk dijual ke pasar dan itu cukup terjangkau harganya,” ungkapnya.
