Arusberita.id – Komandan Koramil (Danramil) 1703-04/Aradide, Papua Tengah, Letda Infanteri Oktovianus Sogarlay (OS) gugur diserang sekelompok orang. Kodam XVII/Cenderawasih menyampaikan pelaku penyerangan adalah Organisasi Papua Merdeka (OPM) atau kelompok kriminal bersenjata (KKB).
Pihak TNI menyebutkan Letda Oktovianus ditembak di Distrik Ariade, Paniai. Jenazah korban ditemukan kemarin (11/4/2024).
“Para pelaku penyerangan dan penembakan ini adalah gerombolan OPM,” kata Kapendam XVII/Cenderawasih Letkol Inf Candra Kurniawan dalam keterangannya, Jumat (12/4/2024).
Candra menjelaskan penyerangan bermula saat Letda Oktovianus keluar dari Makoramil pada Rabu (10/4) sore. Letda Oktovianus kemudian tak kembali sampai Kamis pagi (11/4).
Dia mengatakan pihaknya kemudian melakukan pencarian. Hingga akhirnya OS ditemukan dalam keadaan meninggal dunia.
“Saat ini Jenazah Alm akan dievakuasi ke Enarotali, kemudian dibawa ke Nabire,” imbuhnya.
