Arusberita.id – Bakal calon presiden (Bacapres) Ganjar Pranowo menunjukkan perhatiannya terhadap pengembangan kreativitas dan inovasi generasi muda Indonesia alias Gen Z.
Jumlah penduduk di Indonesia saat ini sedang didominasi Gen Z. Berdasarkan hasil Sensus Penduduk 2020, total Generasi Z adalah 74,93 juta atau 27,94% dari total penduduk Indonesia.
Untuk itu, alumni Unpad Ummy Latifah melihat bahwa Gen Z harus mulai dibekali informasi yang tepat untuk mencari figur yang tepat pada helatan pesta demokrasi di Tahun 2024. Menurut dia, Gen Z harus bisa memilih dengan cerdas.
“Menyambut Pilpres kita tahu bahwa Gen Z saat ini memiliki jumlah penduduk hingga 74 juta jiwa. Sehingga apapun keputusan yang dibuat Gen Z akan menentukan nasib Indonesia di masa mendatang,” ucap Ummy saat konpers seusai FGD bertema Kolaborasi Gen Z untuk Negeri yang diselenggadakan Spill The Tea Academy With Roemah Bersama Alumni, di Jalan Imam Bonjol no 16, Kota Bandung Minggu 25 Juni 2023.
Dia menambahkan, sebagai senior tentunya ia ingin Gen Z mampu lebih kritis dalam mencermati informasi tentang Pilpres yang akan digelar sebentar lagi. Dengan informasi maka Gen Z mampu menangkal adanya hoaks.
“Pemilih dalam hal ini Gen Z berhak tahu apa yang akan dipilihnya. Sehingga, kami mengajak Gen Z untuk berdiskusi dan kritis terhadap informasi yang ada. Kita ajak Gen Z mencari tahu informasi terkini,” ujarnya.
Hal senada dikatakan Dimas Ranadireksa dari alumni ITB. Menurut dia, Gen Z harus paham dan mengerti akan 3 jenis informasi yang tersebar di internet. Pertama, informasi hoaks atau bohong. Kedua, informasi framing atau informasi penggiringan opini. Dan yang terakhir adalah Informasi baca logika.
“Sebagai jumlah pemilih terbesar tentunya Gen Z akan sering berinteraksi dengan 3 jenis informasi tersebut di internet. Maka Gen Z harus lebih aware dan bisa mengatasi informasi–informasi tersebut,” ujarnya.
Dengan demikian, kata Dimas, Gen Z mampu membuat keputusan yang tepat dalam mencari pemimpin di masa mendatang dengan lebih kritis dan terbuka.
