Arusberita.id – Menteri Luar Negeri Retno L. P. Marsudi mengatakan, Presiden Joko Widodo menyampaikan lima prioritas kerja sama Indonesia Kenya dengan menemui Presiden Kenya William Ruto pada 21 Agustus 2023.
Lima kerja sama tersebut, meliputi bidang perdagangan, investasi, kesehatan, pembangunan, dan memperkokoh kembali Bandung Spirit.
Di bidang perdagangan, Presiden Jokowi mendorong dibentuknya Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) dengan Kenya untuk meningkatkan perdagangan kedua negara.
Diketahui, Kenya adalah mitra dagang ke-5 terbesar Indonesia di Afrika Sub-Sahara. Sedangkan Indonesia adalah mitra dagang kedua terbesar Kenya di Asia Tenggara.
Perdagangan bilateral kedua negara naik rata-rata 17 persen per tahun selama 5 tahun terakhir. Pada tahun lalu, nilainya mencapai lebih dari 500 juta dollar AS.
“PTA ini sangat penting untuk mengurangi hambatan-hambatan perdagangan sehingga perdagangan kedua negara dapat lebih diperkuat,” kata Retno dalam keterangannya sebagaimana ditayangkan dalam YouTube Sekretariat Presiden, Selasa (22/8/2023).
Di bidang investasi, Indonesia ingin melakukan joint development, dan joint venture cukup besar di Kenya, termasuk di bidang energi.
Dalam kunjungan tersebut, kerja sama Indonesia Kenya pada sektor investasi di bidang energi yang diperkuat, antara lain Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGE) dengan Geothermal Development Company (GDC) senilai 1,5 miliar dollar AS, dan Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGE) dengan Africa Geothermal International Limited (AGIL) senilai 700 juta dollar AS.
Retno menambahkan, kerja sama semacam ini sangat penting untuk membuka jalan bagi kerja sama energi lain, termasuk kerja sama di sektor hulu dan kerja sama di bidang energi baru terbarukan.
“Dan untuk melindungi investasi dua negara, Bapak Presiden mengusulkan agar kedua negara segera mulai membahas Bilateral Investment Treaty,” tutur dia.
Adapun kerja sama ketiga di bidang kesehatan, bertujuan untuk saling mendukung upaya pembangunan ketahanan kesehatan.
Beberapa kerja sama yang dilakukan antara lain adalah kerja sama antara BPOM dua negara, kerja sama Biofarma dengan BioVax dan Generics Africa Ltd; dan kerja sama PT Combiphar dan TRAC Eco Pharma LTD di bidang farmasi.
“Presiden mendorong agar kerja sama ini diperluas untuk produk obat dan farmasi lainnya, karena Bapak Presiden paham betul bahwa potensi peningkatan kerja sama untuk ekspansi pasar obat dan produk farmasi lainnya sangat besar di Kenya,” ungkap Retno.
Sedangkan yang keempat adalah kerja sama pembangunan. Retno menuturkan, Presiden Jokowi menyampaikan komitmennya untuk mendukung pembangunan Kenya di bidang kesehatan, ketahanan pangan, dan penanganan bencana.
Saat ini, Indonesia sedang menyusun grand design kerja sama Pembangunan dengan Afrika di beberapa sektor prioritas.
“Di dalam pertemuan, disepakati untuk meningkatkan kerja sama di sektor-sektor yang tentunya menjadi prioritas Kenya,” ucap Retno.
Terakhir, Presiden mengajak Kenya memperkokoh kembali Bandung Spirit dengan memajukan kolaborasi negara-negara Global South.
“Sudah saatnya suara dan kepentingan negara berkembang lebih didengar, termasuk kepentingan untuk melakukan lompatan pembangunan untuk kesejahteraan yang lebih baik bagi rakyat negara-negara berkembang,” jelasnya.
Sebagai informasi, Kenya menjadi negara pertama yang dikunjungi Jokowi dalam rangkaian kunjungan ke empat negara Afrika.
