Arusberita.id – Presiden Joko Widodo mengungkapkan kawasan pertumbuhan ekonomi pada kawasan ASEAN menjadi yang paling tinggi di dunia pada tahun depan.
Hal ini diungkapkan Jokowi saat membuka Asean Business and Investment Summit 2023, di Istana Negara, Senin (1/9/2023). Menurut Jokowi kawasan ASEAN telah membuktikan diri sebagai kawasan yang damai, stabil dan tumbuh sejahtera.
“Kita lihat pertumbuhan ekonomi ASEAN di 2024 diperkirakan tertinggi di dunia mencapai 4,5% year on year,” kata Jokowi dalam pidatonya.
Menurut Jokowi ASEAN juga menjadi kawasan yang paling menarik bagi foreign direct investment atau investasi dari luar negeri. Dimana pada tahun 2022 tumbuh mencapai 17%, yang menjadi capaian tertinggi di banding kawasan berkembang lainnya.
Selain itu menurut Eks Gubernur DKI ini kawasan ASEAN juga sedang menikmati bonus demografi dengan angkatan kerja ketiga terbesar di dunia. Dimana 65% populasi di ASEAN berpotensi menjadi kelas menengah di tahun 2030, dan itu menjadi modal besar untuk mencapai cita-cita Epicentrum of Growth.
Meski ia tidak menampik saat ini ada tantangan dari tekanan kondisi ekonomi global yang sedang tidak baik. Sehingga dibutuhkan strategi khusus supaya bisa tumbuh, juga kolaborasi antara negara, pengusaha dan masyarakat.
“Strategi ASEAN gak bisa hanya biasa-biasa saja, ASEAN butuh strategi taktis yang extraordinary bukan strategi besar tapi taktis yang extraordinary,” kata Jokowi.
