Arusberita.id – Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) memastikan penyelenggaraan Pemilu 2024 akan berlangsung demokratis dan tak akan mudah diintervensi. Pelaksanaan pemilu, kata dia, akan diawasi oleh seluruh pihak, mulai di tempat pemungutan suara (TPS) yang diawasi saksi partai, kemudian oleh masyarakat, dan juga media.
“Sekali lagi ini pemilu yang sangat besar, yang sangat demokratis. Banyak yang menyampaikan bahwa pemilu kita ini gampang diintervensi. Diintervensi dari mana? Di setiap TPS itu ada saksi partai-partai. Semua TPS ada saksi dari partai-partai, belum juga aparat yang juga ada di dekat TPS,” kata Jokowi saat membuka Rakornas Penyelenggara Pemilu di Jakarta, Rabu (8/11/2023).
“Artinya apa? Pemilu ini pemilu yang sangat terbuka bisa diawasi oleh siapa saja, oleh masyarakat dan oleh media dan lain-lain,” ujar Jokowi.
Karena itu, Jokowi mengingatkan agar tak ada pihak yang mencoba-coba untuk melakukan intervensi dalam pemilu. Sebab, hal itu akan sangat sulit dilakukan.
“Jadi jangan ada yang mencoba-coba untuk mengintervensi, karena jelas sangat-sangat sulit, karena di TPS tadi saya sampaikan ada saksi-saksi-saksi-saksi dari partai-partai politik,” ungkap Jokowi.
Eks gubernur DKI Jakarta itu meyakini, demokrasi di Indonesia saat ini sudah semakin berkualitas. Selain itu, masyarakat juga semakin bijak dan dewasa dalam menentukan pilihannya. Menurut dia, penyelenggaraan pemilu harusnya dilakukan dengan penuh kegembiraan dan suka cita, bukan kekhawatiran dan keresahan.
“Pemilu adalah pestanya rakyat, harusnya rakyat itu bergembira, harusnya rakyat itu dalam berpesta itu bersukacita, bukan kekhawatiran bukan keresahan bukan kerisauan yang hadir, tetapi kegembiraan dan sukacita,” ujar Jokowi.
Karena itu, Jokowi meminta semua pihak, termasuk Dewan Kehormatan Penyelenggara Pemilihan Umum (DKPP) agar bersama-sama menjadikan pemilu sebagai ajang konsolidasi yang menghasilkan gagasan dan ide taktis serta solusi yang baik demi kemajuan bangsa dan negara.
