Arusberita.id – Menteri Dalam Negeri (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian kembali ingatkan para kepala daerah untuk bekerja keras mengendalikan inflasi. Ia menegaskan hal itu adalah instruksi langsung dari Presiden Joko Widodo.
Tito menyampaikan, para kepala daerah, termasuk Penjabat Gubernur harus menjadikan penanganan inflasi sebagai prioritas di daerahnya masing-masing.
“Jadi beliau (Jokowi) meminta agar inflasi tolong diperhatikan. Jadi bukan kata Menkeu dan Mendagri, tapi Kepala Negara langsung yang meminta, yang mengatakan kalau rakyat di bawah itu ingin perutnya terisi,” kata Tito dalam Rapat Koordinasi Pengendalian Inflasi 2023 di Jakarta, Senin (6/11/2023).
Tingginya inflasi menandakan kenaikan harga barang dan jasa, sehingga membuat daya beli masyarakat menurun. Apalagi kenaikan harga saat ini terjadi pada bahan pangan dampak dari El Nino.
Ia menyatakan, Kemendagri tidak akan segan mengganti Penjabat (Pj) Kepala daerah yang tidak bisa mengendalikan inflasi dengan baik.
“Presiden menegaskan kalau ada yang performance-nya tidak bagus, at anytime bisa diganti untuk Pj. Dan saya sudah lakukan itu,” ujar Tito seperti dikutip dari kanal YouTube Kemendagri.
Pada awal Oktober lalu, Tito mencopot Pj Wali Kota Cimahi, Jawa Barat, Dikdik Suratno Nugrahawan. Adapun Dikdik baru dilantik sebagai Pj Wali Kota Cimahi pada 21 Oktober 2022. Sebelumnya, dia menempati posisi Sekretaris Daerah (Sekda) Kota Cimahi.
Tito mengatakan, alasannya mencopot Dikdik dari jabatannya itu karena inflasi yang tinggi di Cimahi.
“Saya sudah berulang kali mengingatkan, ini inflasi tinggi, harga beras tinggi. Padahal Cimahi itu dikelilingi daerah penghasil cabai. Tidak juga didengar,” ujar Tito pada Senin (9/10), dikutip dari Tribunnews.com.
Berdasarkan data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), pada Oktober 2023 terjadi inflasi tahunan atau year on year (y-on-y) sebesar 2,56 persen, dibanding Oktober 2022.
Inflasi tertinggi terjadi di Tanjung Pandan sebesar 5,43 persen dan terendah terjadi di Jayapura sebesar 1,43 persen.
Inflasi tahunan terjadi karena adanya kenaikan harga yang ditunjukkan oleh naiknya seluruh indeks kelompok pengeluaran. Mulai dari kelompok makanan dan minuman hingga kelompok pengeluaran rekreasi.
Sedangkan secara bulanan, terjadi inflasi sebesar 0,17 persen dibanding September 2023.
