Arusberita.id – Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat ihwal pengairan untuk pertanian dan perkebunan, Pemprov Jawa Tengah membangun embung di daerah-daerah yang kesulitan air khususnya saat musim kemarau.
Kali ini, Gubernur Jawa Tengah Ganjar Pranowo melaksanakan program seribu embung dengan meninjau Embung Glebeg yang berada di Desa Glebeg, Kecamatan Sulang, Kabupaten Rembang pada Senin (10/7) siang.
“Ini kita menghadapi musim kemarau kemungkinan juga kemaraunya panjang. Kita bangun satu (embung) dari provinsi di sini. Harapan kita ini akan bisa menjadi alternatif suplai air untuk kebun, paling banyak tebu dan tembakau,” ujar Ganjar di lokasi.
Embung Glebeg merupakan bantuan provinsi (banprov) Jawa Tengah tahun 2022 dengan menggunakan anggaran Rp3,1 miliar. Embung tersebut memiliki luas 2.279 m2 dan kapasitas tampungannya 9.118 m3.
Ganjar berharap, dengan berdirinya Embung Glebeg dapat membantu warga Kecamatan Sulang, khususnya warga Desa Glebeg untuk persoalan irigasi sawah dan perkebunan.
“Nanti kita coba bisa tambah lagi di beberapa tempat. Tapi setidaknya kita harapkan embung ini bisa dimanfaatkan, digunakan masyarakat sehingga problem air untuk pertanian atau perkebunan bisa terpenuhi,” kata Ganjar.
Pembangunan Embung Glebeg di Kabupaten Rembang ini merupakan bagian dari program Seribu Embung yang dicanangkan oleh Ganjar.
Hal ini pada umumnya ditujukan untuk menyelesaikan persoalan kekeringan dan air bersih di Jawa Tengah.
Berdasarkan data dari Dinas Pusdataru Provinsi Jawa Tengah, hingga kini total sudah ada 1.126 embung yang dibangun Pemprov Jawa Tengah. Jika ditambah dengan long storage, maka jumlahnya menjadi 1.145.
Alokasi anggaran yang digunakan untuk pembangunan embung berasal dari beberapa sumber, antara lain APBN, APBD, Dana Alokasi Khusus, hingga CSR dan dana hibah.
Ganjar pun menyebutkan, pembangunan embung di Jawa Tengah akan terus berkelanjutan, guna membantu masyarakat desa dalam melakukan kegiatan sehari-hari.
“Kami mencoba koordinasi dengan desa, kabupaten, pusat termasuk kita sendiri agar makin banyak embung di area-area yang supali airnya kurang bisa terpenuhi dengan modifikasi. Ada modifikasi tempat penampungan air, modifikasi saluran, bahkan modifikasi cuaca,” jelas Ganjar.
“Mudah-mudahan sekian embung yang sudah terbangun akan bisa membantu masyarakat. Bantuan ini akan terus, tidak bisa berhenti karena kebutuhannya masih banyak sekali,” sambung Ganjar.
