Arusberita.id – Kemenko PMK mengatakan “Saya bersama pak Menhub melakukan inspeksi mendadak langsung ke lokasi Pelabuhan Merak. Ini adalah detailing atau pendalaman beberapa bagian dari rencana besar kita dalam menangani mudik tahun 2024.”
Berikut ungkapan Menteri Koordinator Bidang Pembangunan Manusia dan Kebudayaan (Menko PMK) Muhadjir Effendy usai meninjau persiapan angkutan lebaran tahun 2024 di Pelabuhan Merak, Provinsi Banten, pada Sabtu (23/03/2024).
Menko Muhadjir menyebut penyeberangan Merak-Bakauheni menjadi titik krusial dalam pelaksanaan mudik lebaran. Sehingga diperlukan penambahan fasilitas kapal maupun sarana penunjang lainnya. Penambahan berbagai fasilitas tersebut guna menjaga V/C Ratio kendaraan agar tetap rendah, sehingga tidak terjadi penumpukan seperti tahun-tahun sebelumnya.
“Ini perlu kita pastikan, tadi Pak Menhub telah sampaikan akan ada kenaikan pemudik 50% dibandingkan tahun lalu berarti nantinya yang akan menyebrang juga bertambah,” jelas Muhadjir.
Selain itu, untuk menghindari tumpukan kendaraan di titik pelabuhan, Menko PMK menghimbau kepada pemudik kapal penyeberangan untuk melakukan pembelian tiket secara online supaya tidak terkendala terjadinya antrean panjang lantaran belum memiliki tiket.
“Jadi kita membuat kebijakan tidak ada pelayanan pemesanan tiket manual. Nantinya kita punya kepastian berapa yang akan menyebrang hari ini sehingga kita bisa mengatur lebih berpresisi,” tuturnya.
Sejalan dengan hal tersebut, Menteri Perhubungan (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi meminta kepada pengelolaan penyeberangan dapat mendahulukan kapal-kapal besar dengan kecepatan yang lebih tinggi sehingga dapat mengangkut penumpang lebih banyak dan cepat.
Pada kesempatan tersebut Menko PMK bersama dengan Menteri Perhubungan turut didampingi oleh Pj. Gubernur Banten Al Muktabar, Walikota Cilegon Helldy Agustian, Kakorlantas Polri Aan Suhanan, dan Direktur Komersial dan Pelayanan ASDP Indonesia Ferry Yusuf Hadi beserta jajarannya.
