Arusberita.id – Menteri Pemuda dan Olahraga Republik Indonesia (Menpora RI) Dito Ariotedjo memastikan penutupan Pekan Olahraga Nasional (PON) XXI Aceh-Sumatera Utara siap digelar. Segala persiapan terus dikebut demi kesuksesan acara.
Demikian disampaikan Menpora Dito di GOR PBSI Sumut, Deli Serdang, Kamis (19/9). Menurutnya, bakal banyak festival yang disiapkan saat penutupan ajang pesta olahraga nasional tersebut.
“Ya akan banyak festival, karena kita ingin bagaimana mengguyupkan antara panitia, pengunjung, masyarakat, atlet, serta ofisial yang mana mungkin banyak ketegangan selama dua minggu belakangan ini,” ujar Menpora Dito.
Menpora Dito berharap acara ini bisa berlangsung sukses, lancar, dan aman. Masyarakat yang hadir juga bisa senang dan menikmati malam pertunjukan kegiatan penutupan PON.
“Jadi nanti acara penutupan itu lebih ke guyub, kekeluargaan, dan juga gembira. Sampai hari ini yang mewakili (hadir di acara penutupan) pak Menko (PMK),” jelas Menpora Dito.
Seperti diketahui, lokasi penutupan PON XXI akan digelar di Stadion Utama Sumatera Utara pada 20 September 2024 malam. Gladi resik juga tengah dilakukan.
