Arusberita.id – Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) meresmikan Kereta Cepat Jakarta-Bandung (KCJB) WHOOSH di Stasiun Halim, Jakarta Timur pada hari ini, Senin (2/10).
Terdapat empat KCJB berwarna silver merah yang telah bersiaga di Stasiun Halim sejak pukul 07.00 WIB. Keempat KCJB itu terparkir di peron 1, 2, 5 dan 6. Namun, peresmian baru dilakukan pukul 09.00 WIB.
“Dengan mengucapkan bismilahirrahmanirrahim Kereta Cepat Jakarta Bandung Whoosh dioperasikan,” kata Jokowi. Setelah itu Jokowi pun menandatangani prasasti sebagai simbol diresmikannya KCJB.
Jokowi mengatakan WHOOSH adalah salah satu bentuk kemajuan transportasi publik di Indonesia. Dia bahkan mengklaim WHOOSH kereta tercepat se-Asia Tenggara.
“Kereta Jakarta Bandung ini merupakan kereta pertama tercepat di Indonesia dan Asia Tenggara dengan kecepatan 360 km per jam,” ujarnya.
Nama WHOOSH diambil dari suara kereta yang berjalan secara cepat. Selain itu WHOOSH juga merupakan singkatan dari Waktu Hemat Operasi Optimal Sistem Hebat.
Dalam peresmian ini, hadir Menteri Koordinator Bidang Kemaritiman dan Investasi (Menkomarves Luhut Binsar Panjaitan), Menteri Perhubungan, Menteri ATR/BPN Hadi Tjahjanto, Menteri Komunikasi dan Informatika Budi Arie Setiadi.
Kemudian, Ketua Wantimpres Wiranto, Anggota Wantimpres Agung Laksono, Anggota Wantimpres Putri Kus Wisnu Wardani, Anggota Wantimpres Sidarto Danusubroto dan Wakil Ketua MPR Fadel Muhammad, Jazilul Fawaid, Arsul Sani.
Setelah meresmikan KCJB, Jokowi dan jajaran kementerian pun memasuki salah satu WHOOSH. Jokowi langsung mencoba kereta cepat itu sampai ke Padalarang, Bandung.
Pembangunan Kereta Cepat Jakarta-Bandung yang berlangsung sejak 2016 ini, awalnya ditargetkan bisa selesai dan dioperasikan pada 2019. Namun, rencana ini mundur dan diperkirakan baru rampung pada tahun ini.
Mundurnya operasi kereta cepat ini disebabkan pemerintah pada 2020 menghentikan seluruh pembangunan proyek dan fokus pada penanganan covid-19.
Pembangunan Kereta Cepat Jakarta-Bandung baru kembali dilaksanakan pada pertengahan 2021 setelah kasus pandemi mulai mereda di tanah air.
Kontroversi juga muncul terkait pembengkakan biaya proyek yang cukup besar. Sebelumnya, berdasarkan perhitungan dan review BPKP pada 9 Maret 2022, pembengkakan biaya pembangunan proyek hanya sebesar US$1,17 miliar atau Rp17,64 triliun.
Namun, dalam kajian BPKP terbaru yang dikeluarkan 15 September 2022, pembengkakan biaya itu naik US$273,03 juta menjadi US$1,449 miliar atau Rp21,74 triliun (asumsi kurs Rp15 ribu per dolar AS).
