Arusberita.id – Presiden Joko Widodo menekankan pentingnya penyiapan talenta dan bakat masa depan di tengah perubahan dunia yang sangat cepat. Presiden menyebut bahwa pendidikan harus dapat menyesuaikan dengan kebutuhan masa kini dan masa depan.
Demikian disampaikan Presiden dalam sambutannya saat membuka Vokasifest dan Festival Kampus Merdeka ke-3 Tahun 2023 yang digelar di Taman Ismail Marzuki, Jakarta, pada Senin, 11 Desember 2023.
“Pendidikan kita harus sesuai dengan kebutuhan masa kini dan masa depan, harus memecahkan masalah, harus juga bisa memanfaatkan peluang, memanfaatkan opportunity yang ada, perubahan dunia sekarang ini sangat-sangat cepat sekali, disrupsi teknologi juga sangat cepat sekali,” ujar Presiden.
Oleh karena itu, Kepala Negara mengapresiasi pendidikan vokasi dan kebijakan Merdeka Belajar telah menunjukkan kerja sama yang konkret antara perguruan tinggi, sekolah, dan industri untuk menjawab hal tersebut. Presiden pun menilai bahwa hasil karya para siswa juga telah menunjukkan hasil yang nyata.
“Hasil-hasil karya yang ada itu konkret, nyata, tadi diperlihatkan, bus, apalagi, aplikasi-aplikasi platform, kemudian tadi saya lihat di depan animasi-animasi yang dihasilkan, dan banyak lagi,” ucap Presiden.
Selanjutnya, Presiden Jokowi menekankan pentingnya berinovasi menciptakan cara baru dalam mengembangkan talenta muda di Tanah Air. Presiden menilai bahwa pendidikan tinggi dan vokasi juga memiliki peran penting dalam pengembangan iptek yang relevan.
“Yang bisa meningkatkan akses masyarakat untuk menikmati pendidikan yang lebih baik,” lanjut Kepala Negara.
Selain itu, Presiden Jokowi mengaku senang atas tingginya penerima Kartu Indonesia Pintar (KIP) pada tahun 2023, serta beasiswa afirmasi pendidikan tinggi bagi daerah tertinggal, terdepan, dan terluar (3T).
“Saya senang penerima KIP kuliah ini sudah mencapai 900 ribu pada tahun 2023. Ini lompatan yang sangat besar sekali, dan juga beasiswa afirmasi pendidikan tinggi untuk pelajar dan mahasiswa daerah 3T sudah mencapai 7.400,” ucapnya.
“Mahasiswa yang belajar di luar kampus dalam program Kampus Merdeka sudah mencapai 900 ribu orang. Ini juga sangat-sangat banyak sekali,” sambung Presiden.
Turut mendampingi Presiden dalam kesempatan tersebut antara lain Menteri Koordinator Bidang Pembangunan Manusia dan Kebudayaan Muhadjir Effendy, Menteri Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi Nadiem Makarim, Menteri Ketenagakerjaan Ida Fauziyah, Kepala Staf Kepresidenan Moeldoko, Panglima TNI Agus Subiyanto, Kapolri Jenderal Listyo Sigit Prabowo, dan Pj. Gubernur DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono.
