Arusberita.id – Deputi Bidang Perekonomian, Sekretariat Kabinet (Setkab), Satya Bhakti Parikesit, mendorong peningkatan produksi daging untuk mewujudkan target swasembada nasional pada tahun 2026 yang ditetapkan oleh Presiden RI Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
Hal tersebut disampaikan Bhakti dalam Diskusi Kelompok Terpumpun (DKT) mengenai Strategi Peningkatan Produksi Daging Ruminansia dalam rangka Menuju Swasembada Daging Nasional: Seri I, yang digelar secara daring, Kamis (25/04/2024).
“Menjelang berakhirnya periodisasi kepemimpinan Bapak Presiden Joko Widodo, kiranya kita perlu melihat sejauh mana progres program dan kebijakan tersebut berkaitan dengan peningkatan produksi daging sapi nasional, selanjutnya menyusun strategi dan komitmen bersama seluruh stakeholders guna memastikan keberlanjutan kebijakan dimaksud pada masa kepemimpinan presiden yang akan datang,” ujar Bhakti.
Bhakti mengungkapkan, pada tahun 1970-an Indonesia pernah tercatat sebagai eksportir daging sapi, dengan jumlah kiriman kurang lebih 15 ribu sapi dan kerbau ke negara Singapura dan Hongkong. Namun, saat ini tingkat ketergantungan Indonesia pada importasi daging sapi sangat besar.
“Dalam catatan rilis yang dikeluarkan oleh BPS tahun 2022, impor daging sapi Indonesia tercatat sebesar 225 ribu ton dengan nilai mencapai 861,5 juta Dolar Amerika Serikat. Sekitar 183 ribu ton atau 81,2 persen dari total impor hanya berasal dari dua negara, yaitu Australia 105 ribu lebih ton dan India 77.500 ton daging,” ungkapnya.
Menurut Bhakti, tingginya ketergantungan terhadap produk impor sangat berkolerasi dengan tingginya harga daging sapi di tanah air. Oleh karena itu, Bhakti mendorong adanya peningkatan produksi daging nasional.
Lebih lanjut, Deputi Perekonomian pun mengharapkan diskusi yang dihadiri para kementerian/lembaga terkait ini dapat menghasilkan solusi yang konstruktif guna peningkatan produksi sekaligus upaya mewujudkan swasembada daging nasional.
“Beberapa persoalan lainnya, termasuk saat ini di Indonesia, berkaitan dengan tantangan outbreak virus penyakit mulut dan kuku (PMK) sejak 3 April 2022 yang banyak menyerang hewan berkuku belah, termasuk sapi dan kerbau, menjadi tantangan tersendiri bagi pemerintah Indonesia dalam swasembada daging nasional,” tandasnya.
Hadir sebagai narasumber dalam diskusi ini yaitu Asisten Deputi Bidang Pengembangan Agribisnis Peternakan dan Perikanan, Kementerian Koordinator Bidang Perekonomian, Pujo Setio; Direktur Perbibitan dan Produksi Ternak, Kementerian Pertanian, Agung Suganda; dan Koordinator pada Direktorat Stabilisasi Pasokan dan Harga Pangan, Badan Pangan Nasional, Jan Piter Sinaga. Turut hadir Kepala Bidang Pertanian, Puji Wisudya Rakhmawati selaku moderator serta perwakilan kementerian/lembaga terkait sebagai peserta.
