Arusberita.id – Presiden Joko Widodo menekankan bahwa hilirisasi industri menjadi salah satu langkah penting bagi Indonesia untuk menjadi negara maju pada tahun 2045.

Presiden mengatakan itu, pada Pengukuhan Pengurus Dewan Pimpinan Nasional (DPN) Asosiasi Pengusaha Indonesia (Apindo) masa bakti tahun 2023-2028, di Grand Ballroom Hotel Kempinski, Jakarta, Senin (31/07/2023).

“Kalau itu bisa kita lakukan, mineral, perkebunan, pertanian, perikanan, semuanya bisa dihilirisasi. Kalau hitung-hitungannya World Bank, McKinsey, IMF, OECD, itu di 2040 sampai 2045, saya yakin ini bisa agak maju,” katanya dikutip dari laman Setkab, Selasa (1/8/2023).

Hilirisasi telah menciptakan sejumlah dampak positif bagi perekonomian Indonesia, di antaranya membuka kesempatan kerja secara signifikan dan maju.

“Di Sulteng, sebelum hilirisasi, hanya 1.800 tenaga kerja yang terangkut di dalam pengolahan nikel. Setelah hilirisasi, menjadi 71.500 tenaga kerja yang bisa bekerja karena adanya hilirisasi nikel di Sulteng,” ujar Presiden.

Selain itu, hilirisasi juga memberikan kontribusi besar pada pendapatan negara. Dulu pada tahun 2014 sampai 2015, menurut Presiden pemerintah menghasilkan kurang lebih Rp31 triliun dari ekspor bahan mentah.

“Setelah hilirisasi, menjadi Rp510 triliun. Kembali lagi, dari USD2,1 billion melompat menjadi USD33,8 billion. Jadi, melompatnya berapa kali? Ini baru beberapa turunan saja,” lanjutnya.

Selain itu, Presiden menuturkan bahwa hilirisasi juga memberikan dampak positif pada pertumbuhan ekonomi daerah. Hal tersebut kemudian akan berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi secara nasional.

Lebih lanjut, Presiden menegaskan bahwa program hilirisasi ini tidak berhenti hanya pada industri mineral saja, tetapi juga pada sektor lainnya. Presiden mengajak para pengusaha untuk turut mendukung program hilirisasi tersebut.

“Kita harus mulai, Apindo harus mulai berpikir ke sana. Semua produk yang masih dikirim mentahan harus mulai. Bank juga harus berpikir mau membiayai hilirisasi di bidang-bidang yang tadi saya sebutkan,” katanya.
