Arusberita.id – Indonesia terus mengambil langkah strategis untuk meningkatkan kedaulatan energi dengan rencana pembangunan fasilitas penyimpanan cadangan minyak di sebuah pulau yang berdekatan dengan Singapura. Menteri Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM), Bahlil Lahadalia, menyatakan bahwa langkah ini sejalan dengan target yang ditetapkan oleh Presiden Prabowo Subianto dalam memperkuat ketahanan energi nasional.
Tujuan Pembangunan Fasilitas Penyimpanan Minyak
Menurut Bahlil, fasilitas ini dirancang untuk memiliki kemampuan penyimpanan yang dapat bertahan hingga 30-40 hari. Dengan kapasitas tersebut, pemerintah berharap dapat mengurangi ketergantungan pada impor minyak sekaligus menciptakan cadangan yang cukup dalam menghadapi situasi darurat.
“Kita akan bangun storage di pulau yang dekat dengan Singapura. Kemampuannya untuk menyimpan berbagai jenis minyak, sehingga Pertamina bisa membeli minyak dengan harga murah ketika ada kesempatan,” jelas Bahlil dalam pernyataannya yang dikutip dari Antara.
Langkah ini menjadi penting mengingat 60 persen kebutuhan impor bahan bakar minyak (BBM) Indonesia berasal dari Singapura, negara yang sebenarnya tidak memiliki sumber daya minyak. “Singapura tidak punya minyak, tapi mereka bisa mengimpor ke Indonesia sebanyak itu. Ini teori yang saya sendiri tidak mengerti,” ungkapnya.
Risiko dan Kebutuhan Strategis
Bahlil juga menyoroti fakta bahwa cadangan minyak Indonesia saat ini hanya mencukupi untuk 21 hari dalam situasi darurat. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ketahanan energi nasional masih rentan, terutama dalam menghadapi risiko geopolitik atau konflik global.
“Kalau kita bicara soal geopolitik, dalam kondisi perang, kapasitas cadangan minyak kita hanya mampu bertahan selama 21 hari. Ini perlu diperbaiki agar kita bisa lebih siap menghadapi tantangan ke depan,” tegasnya.
Pembangunan fasilitas penyimpanan ini diharapkan menjadi solusi untuk meningkatkan keamanan pasokan energi nasional, sekaligus menekan pengeluaran negara untuk impor BBM yang mencapai Rp 500 triliun per tahun.
Upaya Lain untuk Mengurangi Ketergantungan Impor
Selain membangun fasilitas penyimpanan, pemerintah juga mengoptimalkan potensi dari sumur-sumur minyak yang ada di dalam negeri.
Bahlil menekankan pentingnya memaksimalkan eksplorasi dan produksi minyak domestik sebagai langkah strategis untuk menekan biaya impor energi. “Dengan mengoptimalkan sumur-sumur minyak yang ada, kita bisa menekan biaya impor energi dan mengalokasikan anggaran tersebut untuk kebutuhan lain yang lebih mendesak,” tambahnya.
Dampak Positif Bagi Ekonomi dan Ketahanan Energi
Pembangunan fasilitas penyimpanan minyak ini diproyeksikan tidak hanya meningkatkan ketahanan energi, tetapi juga menciptakan efek domino yang positif bagi perekonomian nasional. Dengan cadangan minyak yang lebih besar, Indonesia dapat lebih fleksibel dalam mengatur pasokan dan harga minyak domestik.
Selain itu, langkah ini juga akan memberikan kepastian kepada industri nasional, terutama sektor transportasi dan manufaktur, yang sangat bergantung pada stabilitas pasokan BBM.
“Langkah ini bukan hanya tentang menyimpan minyak, tetapi juga tentang menciptakan ekosistem energi yang lebih mandiri dan kuat,” ujar Bahlil.
Rencana pembangunan fasilitas penyimpanan minyak di dekat Singapura menjadi tonggak penting dalam upaya Indonesia mencapai kedaulatan energi. Dengan inisiatif ini, pemerintah menunjukkan komitmennya untuk memastikan pasokan energi yang aman dan berkelanjutan bagi masyarakat dan industri.
Dalam jangka panjang, kebijakan ini diharapkan mampu memperkuat posisi Indonesia di pasar energi regional sekaligus memberikan manfaat signifikan bagi perekonomian nasional.
