Arusberita.id – Presiden RI Joko Widodo (Jokowi) resmikan pembangunan penangkal banjir Jakarta Sodetan Ciliwung yang sempat mangkrak di era Gubernur Anies Baswedan (2017-2022).

Jokowi hadir di titik Sodetan Ciliwung disambut lantunan tanjidor. Puluhan anak SD juga berjejer di pinggir jalan sambil mengibarkan bendera Merah Putih mini.

“Urusan Sodetan Ciliwung ini sudah bertahun-tahun. Sudah hampir 11 tahun dan alhamdulillah selesai. Ini bisa selesai paling tidak 6 kelurahan enggak banjir lagi,” kata Jokowi di Jakarta Timur, Senin (31/1).

Jokowi resmikan Sodetan Ciliwung dengan memutar tuas pintu air. Lalu ia menandatangani prasasti pembangunan infrastruktur itu.

Dia berpesan penanganan banjir di Jakarta harus dilakukan dari hulu sampai hilir. Penanganan ia meminta anak buahnya tak cepat puas dengan pencapaian saat ini.

“Baik Bendungan Ciawi, Bendungan Sukamahi, Sodetan Ciliwung, normalisasi Ciliwung, Banjir Kanal Timur, bisa menyelesaikan baru kira-kira 62 persen persoalan banjir di Jakarta,” ujarnya.

Pada kesempatan itu, Heru mengucap terima kasih atas perhatian Jokowi terhadap banjir Jakarta. Dia berharap Sodetan Ciliwung bisa menjaga Jakarta dari ancaman banjir.

“Tentunya kami atas nama masyarakat DKI Jakarta terima kasih ke Bapak Presiden dan Menteri PUPR yang membangun ini selama 7 tahun,” ujarnya.
Sebelumnya, Jokowi mencanangkan proyek Sodetan Ciliwung saat menjabat Gubernur DKI Jakarta pada 2013. Pada 2015, Gubernur DKI Jakarta Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok membangun sodetan sepanjang 650 meter.

Proyek tertunda saat Anies memimpin DKI Jakarta. Pada 2022, Jokowi menunjuk Heru Budi Hartono sebagai penjabat Gubernur DKI Jakarta.

Jokowi pun memerintahkan Heru untuk kembali melanjutkan proyek itu.

Pada awal tahun 2023, Jokowi lantas memuji Heru yang dinilai mampu membebaskan lahan yang sebelumnya terkendala.

“Pembebasan (kendala), tadi saya sampaikan. Saya juga kaget, dikerjakan oleh Pak Gubernur Heru, saya gak tau pendekatannya apa, tapi selesai. Makanya saya ke sini tadi karena udah selesai,” kata Jokowi usai meninjau sodetan, Selasa (24/1).
